I have used many food slicers in my life (I'm 60+) and I can say without hesitation that the Westmark stainless steel slicer made in Germany is far superior to any conventional food slicer. It's well built and very durable. This food slicer needs to be hand washed so be careful when cleaning as the blades are sharp and could injure someone in a hurry. I recommend rinsing it very well right after using the food slicer if you don't wash it right away. We eat a lot of strawberries, mushrooms, kiwis, etc. and I was able to quickly chop up 4 pounds of strawberries in just five minutes. I would highly recommend this to anyone frustrated with using thin wire cutters to cut through hard boiled eggs, berries, etc. You will be 100% satisfied with your purchase!
