Snap the carbon strut when riding on bumpy roads.

Installed the seatpost using carbon sealant and a torque wrench. On my second 9 mile trip. I was riding on bumpy roads, which is quite common in New York, and broke the seatpost halfway between the saddle and the seatpost clamp (see uploaded video and photo). To go home I had to shorten the stem by snapping off the bottom and inserting the rest of the stem into the seat tube. I'm a 185 pound rider with three other bikes and a different carbon seatpost and have never had a carbon seatpost break. It may have been an isolated case, but if you compare this carbon post to others, it was a bit lighter so maybe not as strong. My other carbon seatposts are all specialized and cost 3-4 times as much. If you are a very light rider, this post may very well suit you. It's also quite stiff and ribbed and doesn't have much flex, so comfort isn't the best. Also, the white polymer material is only present on the top of the seatpost. This white material has mostly broken into pieces and become very brittle (see photo). Did I expect the seatpost to perform as well as my other carbon seatpost that costs four times as much? Absolutely not. I knew I was sacrificing ride quality and comfort, but I also didn't expect it to break on a slightly bumpy NYC road. It may have been designed for lighter riders, but no rider weight range was specified. I will resend these messages for a refund.
