I bought 6 sets of waterproof cases and tested them before first use. I have an iPhone 7 in a case. It's a bit awkward to put the phone in a pocket with a case on, but it works. You can use the touch screen, but the fingerprint doesn't work. I don't have facial recognition on this phone so I'm not sure if it works or not. I had a sink half filled with water to check each bag with a phone in it. None of them had any leaks. There is some water on the opening hinges so it might get onto your phone when you take it out of your pocket, but there isn't much water on the hinges to affect the phone. I'm glad they passed the "test" and can't wait to use them on our trip!
