Review on Klein Tools 21051 Large Cable Stripper: Efficient Stripping for 2/0-250 MCM Cables by Adrian Retana
Not for me. suitable for hand tools
I am a certified master electrician and all my hand tools are from Klein. This tool looks like it should work (and maybe a smaller version will) but it did a terrible job on Southwire SIMpull 500 MCM copper. The SIMpull's PVC insulation has a full-length nylon shell, making it slim and lightweight. The same nylon sheath makes stripping awfully difficult with this tool. In the time it took me to cut one end with this tool, my assistant trimmed three ends with a razor blade. YMMV.
