I love this laptop stand. It looks good in what looks like aluminium, has rubber pads in the mount parts themselves to prevent damage to your laptop/laptop and on the bottom to prevent slipping, is without the use of different sized inserts like other products this one Kind of highly adjustable. The ones I've tried in the past require (what a waste of rubber IMO), they're sturdy, and seem to last almost indefinitely. I use this to hold my 2015 11" MacBook Air which I use as a desk until I need to take it somewhere and it adjusts to a fairly small size needed to keep it securely in place .This stand can also easily accommodate much thicker laptops, so if you don't have a MacBook Air that thin and light, rest assured that you can still use this stand with confidence.Upright at the very back of my desk behind the curved 32" Standing the monitor I plugged into it instead of lying on my desk frees up a considerable amount of workspace and looks cleaner - that was the reason I bought this stand BUT what I don't like about this stand is, that in order to make the adjustment needed to hold your specific laptop/laptop brand and size, you will need to screw 4 hex head screws into the bottom of the stand to loosen/tighten them afterwards Spread or slide the parts to make them fit together. It wasn't well thought out, especially when someone was trying to hold the laptop upright on the stand, pressing the 2 sliding parts against the laptop tight enough to prevent it from sliding backwards AND trying to screw in the 4 screws. All at the same time. This was supposed to be a one-person operation (and with a bit of swearing and a few tries to get there, I finally got it), but if you want to avoid disappointment, have someone else hold a notepad for you while You fiddle with the stand adjustment. This juggling could have been avoided if the designer had simply placed the set screws on the TOP of the stand instead of underneath - but then the aesthetic of the smooth, clean pieces of aluminum would have been lost, I suppose. All I know is that a slight change in the design of this stand will make it really easy to set up and use as opposed to what is currently happening. One star deducted for that. Basically, I'm happy with the stand. It works well, looks good, is unobtrusive and solidly built. Given the options on the market today, I'm glad I decided to relieve my other cabin of its dreary duty and put this cabin into service. If I need another one for my other laptop I will definitely buy it again.
