After a few years of daily use orig. the collar is completely worn out. It was beautiful, durable and well made so I ordered a new one to replace it. I am very disappointed in the new one. The first collar was soft and flexible; this one is hard. The first was sewn; This is glued and "thermally bonded". The first was viscose/polycrepe, silky like real kimono; This one is made from cheap, thin, loose cotton. The first had a beautifully painted bell; this ordinary"gold". Not ugly, but the other one was such a nice ending. The price was the same for both collars. But this one is much cheaper.
