Review on 🧠 Enhance Critical Thinking and Creativity with Osmo by Kyle Fritz

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Painfully slow pacing can't get my son's attention

The game starts with an intro that moves incredibly slow and you can't skip it. As other reviewers have said, the game doesn't correct wrong answers. I have 2 children with autism. My eldest son loves playing the option where you can create your own character, but sometimes the camera doesn't capture exactly what he created (the price is a bit annoying). I found it very interesting to use the letter game to improve my younger sons' understanding of lowercase letters. But as I said, the slow pace makes it pretty difficult for us. I would love a game where he could choose a letter of the alphabet and create it. It definitely isn't. To work with lowercase letters, he has to wait until the game prompts him to do so, listen to the dialogue, and then do a slow countdown to take a picture of the letter he's creating and display the image on the iPad screen. I'm ready to tear my hair out if Osmo actually gets around to finishing ONE letter. In addition, he is completely altruistic. Such a waste of money. I would say just buy Mat Man or something and make your own letter game.
