I have had several routers in the past such as Belkin, Cisco, TP Link and most of them worked very well. To maximize my speed, I bought this Revain WNDRMACv2 model because it was on sale. Initially, I'm SUPER happy with its speed and connectivity. HOWEVER the product was partially broken within 1 month of purchase. The 2.4G router part stopped working. I tried to contact Netgear. The friendly staff exchanged a few emails with me and I still can't solve the problem. I believe this is a HARDWARE problem. And I asked for an exchange. However, it looks like the folks at Netgear did everything they could to stop you from doing so. But my item is still under warranty. I have sent several requests for product exchange information. However, the staff asked me this problem again. I would say Netgear is a great company, they have friendly staff too. However, the company's leadership is bad! Restricting customer exchanges and returns is not an ethical way of doing business. Now I have to wait for the staff to get back to me. Or should I ditch the router and leave a negative review here until everyone knows of the existence of the Netgear router.
