Don't know why it's called street plug
Instructions say it can't be used in an open street box. Each connector can be used in a closed outer box, the function of which is to prevent water from entering the connectors. In any case, it's too bulky to fit in unless the outer box is big enough to hold both - that plug and the connector plug of the item being used. For all practical purposes, it's not of much use as an external plug. I use it indoors in the kitchen where the back panel prevents traditional chargers from being plugged in. This connector accommodates chargers.
