These are a decent replacement for my stock cowl stays for my 2008 Acura MDX. They're noticeably louder than OEM and not as smooth. They cost half as much as a normal luggage rack and they fit in my car. If removing the original posts, insert a flathead screwdriver between the metal clip and pry it away from the post, or remove the clip completely from the end of the post. Have someone help you support the hood or it will fall on your head. You must clean and lubricate the ball joints before installing the replacement stand. The exchange took less than 5 minutes.
