This item is great, I don't know why or how I've managed without it for so long. It quickly finds bolts for attaching heavy objects to the wall or tying in (e.g. to install a built-in first aid kit or glass lighting) and eliminates unnecessary holes or repairs. got mad on a wall where i know i have some electrical wiring and a propane line including how deep they go into the wall for me to get drilled in there if i just don't double check I didn't have it in the first place as Get Spike Finder. I've been living with one of those little magnets that takes the time to search the whole wall to find a drywall nail or screw head, at which point, with any luck, everything gets excited and the little flexible thing starts to erect. You then hope that the drywall installer who installed the nail or screw actually hit somewhere near the center of the stud (which often doesn't happen), and you start installing everything, risking it. Good luck and previous drywall builders experience with this tool, he finds these studs like a charm. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of black magic and I'll sell my soul to the devil if I use it, but it's worth it!
