Review on ๐Ÿฑโœจ Elastic Cat Collar with Petmate Bling by Scott Richardson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Dangerous and not recommended.

I wouldn't have bought them if I saw the rubber band connection. This elastic band is loose enough to fit a hand or mouth, but tight enough that you can't pull it out. Here's what happened that could have caused serious injury to my 5 month old kittens. I take off the dangerous rubber band and replace it. They keep falling off all my cats. I had this for 13 days and now it has broken (broken) into 3 loops at the end. I would have returned them if I hadn't removed the bells. The only part of the collar that stretches is the elastic parka and it stretches 1/2 inch to allow them to cut their hand. I bought 3 of them. The rubber band broke on the second one. I go to Jo-Anne's, get duct tape and make my own with buckles. 2 out of 3 didn't even last a month and the 3rd fell off somewhere in the house (kittens). I would also make it snug enough that the hand can't slip through but loose enough for her. Coming out of their mouths as this is where the collar comes out when they preen. Never over tighten it so that it closes around your mouth as this elastic allows you to put things in and tighten them so they can't take it off. It's the most idiotic and dangerous technique I've ever seen. I never liked them and would not have bought them if I had known that. I have determined that there is no way to make this product safe or effective.
