Easy to clean. Doesn't degrade over time - I've used the same substrate for years. Simply rinse and reuse. I also like the color - dark brown and natural looking. First of all, it is necessary to rinse the dust, but it is minimal. I am convinced that it maintains good water flow and oxygenation in the substrate. Living plants are healthy - they last and don't sprout. It might not be the best choice for thin-rooted plants like hairgrass or baby tears, but it's great for most uses. I have stem plants, bulbs and crypts that are doing so well. When the tank is ready for disassembly, unlike most other substrates, this substrate is SIMPLE and easy to remove. My goal! I hope this is always available.
