Worked for several weeks. Used it to connect a Falwedi USB-c hub to a 2019 MacBook Pro. Some peripherals (Mac keyboard, flash drive) stopped working after a few weeks of use with this setting and had to be plugged directly into the laptop. I don't know if this is related to recent OS upgrades from Catalina to Big Sur.
