They ONLY work well on carpets . But I was able to slide plastic plates under the furniture and slide them across the carpet. For heavy furniture, they are not suitable for any of the hard floors in our home, including tile and cement. They work great for light furniture. But I DON'T NEED THEM FOR LIGHT FURNITURE!
