Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Genuine Nissan Rubber-Stopper 46512-H0101 Parts by Ryan Eastman

Cheaper, simpler, more permanent alternative

About three years ago I had a brake light problem on my 2000 Nissan Xterra after it had driven 310,000 miles. I didn't know at the time that a replacement fork was sold, so I came up with my own solution. I happened to spot some nylon snaps that I have in stock. One of my cars has a plastic skid plate under the engine that needs to be removed at every oil change. It is held in place with plastic clips. I chose the largest I had, cut it to about ยฝ inch with wire cutters, and taped it in place. I completely forgot until I stumbled across this part recently. So I removed the push pin to replace it with a Nissan part, but after three years of driving it hasn't worn out. I plugged it back in and didn't use the Nissan plug I bought. The bottom line is that the plastic thumbtack works well and lasts as long as a Nissan plug. They are very easy to install and are cheap. You can probably get 25-50 for the price of a Nissan spark plug. Look for pins sized to fit 3/8 inch holes.
