I ordered the tall version of this and it was a dream to build. This smaller piece however was a nightmare due to pieces that chipped easily, part of the door that had a small crack I didn't notice and the corner broke off, directions that weren't as informative as they could have been and a fragility to the cabinet that while building, one had to be very cautious not to bump pieces together or they would chip a bit. I did put this together by myself. I am a month out of a shoulder replacement and built the taller version of this first. No issues. Great directions. Sturdy, solid pieces. Then, I opened the package for this cabinet and expecting the same type of quality, found chips in some of the pieces and there were hairline cracks that I didn't see until a chunk broke off. I did not want to pack this up and return it. I super glued the piece that held the swing pin (allows the door to open/close) in place as that is where it broke off. I am hoping a dark, brown marker will hide the flawed area but it still makes me really mad that this even happened given the cost of the item. I did know the back would be a thick cardboard. This piece however leaves the outside edges of the door unfinished. One doesn't notice this from a distance but up close, with the door closed and against the outside wall, you can see the unfinished particle board. This piece also had instructions that weren't as specific as its taller counter part. It is quite wobbly and does make a noise as if it's shifting a bit so I had to put a small rubber piece under the legs to stop this. Once filled, it is sturdier but the magnets at the top of the door are very strong and make it difficult to open unless you put your hand on the cabinet and push the opposing way. Otherwise, the cabinet will shift and move. I am puzzled as to why the company didn't create this shorter version of their taller one in the same fashion? I am disappointed to say the least that I have a brand, new cabinet that wasn't cheap with a huge flaw showing in the front. The picture shows this cabinet on top of my file cabinet and the taller version of this to the right. The pictures also show the area in front that I had to super glue and other areas that chipped when gently bumped with one of the other pieces.
