Review on Beautiful Knitting Patterns Gisela Klopper by Linda Diaz

Creme de la Creme of Beautiful Patterns

It's not the biggest or most encyclopedic pattern book, but it's one of the best. There are beautiful stitch patterns in all the main departments: lace, cable, stitch, texture, brioche, and color work. Only the prettiest and most useful patterns make it here, and that makes this book something I always refer to despite having large dictionaries of stitches. I designed a scarf and sweater using the patterns in this book. These are sample stitches only; You submit a project. The diagrams use mostly European symbols, but they are fairly intuitive and the book has a large glossary of symbols at the beginning, which covers all the characters and stitches used with good written instructions for those stitches. Also, the models are fully mapped, not written down. Stitches are photographed in different fibers and weights, which also helps. What else can I say? One of my favorite embroidery books and a purchase recommendation for creative knitters.
