I bought 4 of these in October 2016 to take advantage of the 5G speed and reliability for my 4 Windows 10, 2 Dell and 2 HP PCs. It's now January 2017. I think one of them failed (read on). Support was quick to respond, although RMAs are sent to TP-LINK in Canada, causing a delay in sending the device to TP-LINK for a replacement. Since they're relatively cheap, I don't even pay to track my RMAs. I figured the second one didn't go through and called support again. After testing, and just as we were about to set up an RMA for the second one, the support rep emailed them almost afterwards saying they work better with USB 2.0 ports than USB 3.0 ports. Tried via USB 2.0 port. I had to uninstall and reinstall the driver from the CD that came with it and now it works fine. I wonder if the first would work in a USB 2.0 port. I will never know I am confident that the speed of the device will be good on a USB 2.0 port, that trying to use it on a USB 3.0 port will not bring any speed increase, and the device may not work at all. I still believe TP-LINK is a reliable brand. Maybe I'm just unlucky. If I run for a year with no further failures on my remaining original 3 and the replacement I just received, I will upgrade my rating by one star for a year of good service.
