My son's explorer squad recently went on a 30 mile bike hike. Instead of baskets I bought these for him to carry his sleep system. He could pack and compress a hammock, two duvets, hammock straps and an air cushion in this bag. While driving, he would tuck a sweatshirt or jacket into the shock absorber straps. (The rest of the gear was in his hydration bladder or handlebar bag.) He said it was easy to pack, easy to attach and easy to ride. It didn't wobble at all and didn't fall on the tire at all. He said he noticed that he only got on or off the bike when he threw his leg over it. When he started the journey, it was raining lightly and the contents were dry.
