I used this chain to replace a Shimano 600 Uniglide chain on a 10 speed bike I've had since college. I put off replacing my chain as I haven't seen 5 speed chains with dished center plates that made the Uniglide the best shifter chain of its time. But the chain stretch forced me to take on this chain, so I took a risk. I am impressed. The chain is a bit narrower, but the KMC feature called "Inner Plate Chamfering" seems to shift your chain just like it did on my old Uniglide. And the chain is quiet. Works well with my Sun Tour components. A piece of advice if you've never worked with a missing link: practice with the link to see how it fits together. There is a recess where the connecting rod goes into and the side plates must be squeezed together to remove the link. I struggled trying to connect the link under chain tension and insert one side but could not insert the other side.
