I think it worked as intended.
I used this extension on my camera and it just stopped working. The Ripple lamp flickers when I plug it into different walls, but the device doesn't get power. I'm optimistic and guess it worked as intended and the surge protector kicked in to save my devices during the storm. I liked the length but wish it offered more protection. You get what you pay for.
