Review on 💻 Powerful U850 Mini PC: Intel Core i5-10210U, Windows 10 Pro, 16GB RAM+256GB SSD, Triple Outputs, LAN, BT5.1 by Peter Sullivan

I bought this to replace my mother's 10 year old computer which died suddenly. She only uses her computer to surf the web and print, so the specs were good enough to last for many years despite being an older generation i5. RAM and storage are good at 8/256. The Win10 install was pleasantly clean, and the full recovery image fit on a 16GB flash drive after I updated and downloaded additional software for it. performance seems good. It loads quickly, the picture from HDMI is good. I wish it had an additional USB port or two, but the size doesn't surprise me. The 3 ports fill up quickly, although if you have a mouse and keyboard with separate receivers and a wired printer, you don't have open ports for a floppy drive, other peripherals, etc. Plan ahead and get a USB3 hub if you have more than 2 peripherals. The fan was bad out of the box and made a clicking noise when turned on unless you put the unit on its side. Email customer support was very quick and helpful and I will have a new fan soon. The unit in my case is easy to upgrade with the 2 screw base plate and service while the top cover is easily removed by simply prying it open with a credit card. As long as the fan is an isolated issue, I think that will serve her well. Even if it only lasted a few years, it was cheap enough not to lose my sleep over it.
