I wanted to install cable brakes on my beach cruiser so I went with this kit, the brake installation was pretty easy for the front brake. The rear brake was a bit tricky, I had to fabricate something on the back of the bike to make it work, but that's only because my bike wasn't designed for that type of brake. The brakes work well for what I need them for, but I've noticed that they don't have that much stopping power, they just slow me to a stop. Maybe my rims on the bike are like that because they're painted, but I'm not sure. I kept my bike break, just wanted to be on the safe side. I don't think I would use them for mountain biking or any bike where you want to stop fairly quickly. But as I said, it could be because of my drives. I love that you can adjust the pads because I had to tilt the pads to work on the rear rim. In general I like breaks and they work for what I want them to do.
