Review on New Balance FuelCore Champagne Metallic Women's Shoes by Chris Soto

Not good. Unsupportive and annoying.

I wanted to like them. i really loved When I first tried them on and walked around the house, they were amazing! I took them for a five mile walk and they were a nightmare. The laces are not traditionally tightened as there is no tongue, instead they simply gather excess fabric under the laces. It was a minor annoyance that turned into a major annoyance when I wore the shoes. I don't know how anyone can walk in them because if my foot moved the outer body tissue would stretch and the insole would move and my foot would constantly land partially outside the insole. I tried to fix this with super supportive and molded insoles, but instead of my foot coming off the insole, my foot AND the insole moved as one in the shoe, moving from the sole to the fabric over the arch. No training helped. So I just tried to make the laces too tight, which caused pain due to the crumpled fabric, and things STILL stretched and moved weirdly. I should have returned them but I gave them too many chances. and the last 1.5 years just hanging out in the garage, only worn on mailbox trips when my flip flops were out of place. Also, they don't look good on my feet.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
