Perfect fit for Fire TV 3rd Gen Aka Pendant Aka 2017 HDMI Device

Just purchased Fire TV Pendant Aka Third Gen Aka 2017 (what can I say, we give these things different names that don't ALL start with Fire TV, but I was aware of the ultra-short HDMI cable that comes with the Fire Pendant (etc.) I had a couple of spare HDMI ports on the back of the TV, but none of the open ports were easily accessible Ports in with a trusty flashlight and mirror by tilting the TV forward, but it wasn't perfect, it took about 10" for the port to come out where I could manipulate it with my little fingers, so saw this 12". -Cable coming out like a winner Cable was a little stiff and appeared to be pre-bent <right> - just had to bend/twist the cable to get it straight <left> I got lucky as the free HDMI ansc If there were free outlets on the TV, align <Bottom> instead of <Back> so that the HDMI connector has enough space <Bottom> instead of protruding into the wall <Back>. Thanks to this extender, the HDMI port now pops up just below the TV (left) and I can plug and unplug the Fire Pendant (etc.) without having to tilt the screen or fiddle with a mirror and flashlight. Since there are other free ports out there, I might buy another one of these cables to easily make additional ports available in the future. Tilting the TV with one hand and holding the mirror with the other is no fun. SMALL UPDATE - 1 year later: I never said I was smart. Also, connect a PC via the HDMI port on the back of the TV, and you'll have to tilt the TV and look behind you with a flashlight if you need to do anything with the PC's HDMI cable. I never said I was smart. I just ordered a SECOND six short HDMI cable to extend the PC connection. All you have to do is tilt the TV one last time.

Pros
  • HDMI Cable
Cons
  • So far so good
