This lamp is small. I have one in a very small attic room. There used to be a regular lightbulb in there, but I didn't use a lightbulb in there for many years because I didn't want to bang my head on it. So I just used the table lamp in this room. This light is installed flush with the ceiling. Now it lights up the room beautifully. It's perfect for this room. The other was placed on a bookshelf and is very bright for the area it illuminates. For a hardwired lamp I found it easy to install.
