Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 9 175/65 R14 86T winter by Adam Szczelewski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not the best quality, but generally not bad.

8 years down the drain on hack day 7. There is still some life remaining in the tread. In addition, I was pleasantly delighted to find that the rubber performed equally well on both snow and asphalt. But then I had to travel interstate, so in January of 2022 I went out and bought a set of hack 9 tires. The handling is marginally superior to that of Khaki 7. I had to use the cab more often when cornering on a 7-ke. Almost caught a taxi on 9-ke. But by the end of the second season, the spikes were flying everywhere, and by the end of the third, they were all but gone. Worse yet, a bulge of 40 centimeters long has appeared on the contact patch of one of the tires. No changes were made to the 7th or 9th's driving technique, automobile, or tire pressure. If the 7-ke only had some spikes before they were partially wiped, the 9-ke now has nearly no spikes at all on the front wheels after they all flew out and this hernia developed. They said that the radial hernia is not covered by the warranty because it states explicitly that only lateral swellings (along with cuts, punctures, etc.) are covered. In the same vein. Disappointed as a 9, 9. Those 7 and 9 were produced in 2022.

Pros
  • Driving and maneuvering on a snowy road.
Cons
  • Quality
