I don't like writing bad reviews. but I wanted to give people a CLEAR warning. The top is waterproof! They are durable and fit "ok", but when you have soup or stew they leak. not even a little bit. but much! I don't mean the hole on top, but all sides. Looking at the picture of the clamps I thought once you close them NOTHING comes out. It is not true. I bought these to replace the disposable Chinese food bowls I used to lug to work with something more durable. They are definitely durable, almost indestructible. BUT YOU ARE NOT SURE. I will probably return them. but if I didn't, I'd just use them on sandwiches or something. NO liquids. Keep in mind.
