I was so excited to finally get a replacement lid/blade assembly for my Ninja blender jar as my old blades were wearing out and couldn't fully blend frozen fruit into smoothies. However, the very first time I used the new blades, I couldn't get the blades to fully mash the frozen fruit in my smoothie. Also, using lots of liquid and at least half non-frozen fruit just doesn't cut the mustard. In fact, the excessive friction caused by the wrestling blades heats the plastic in the lid, which causes a bad burnt rubber smell, and when I first remove the blade assembly, smoke comes out of the cup. Pooh! Because of this, we can't even drink smoothies. Too bad counterfeit Ninja blades are made too cheaply to get the job done and Ninja branded replacements are insanely expensive. I think it's time for me to buy a new blender. "Sigh."
