Good collar for collars, harnesses and leashes
A few years ago I bought my first martingale collar from the local ASPCA for another dog. This was the only type of collar they sold so I bought it for my beagle girl. The collar can be left loose to avoid restraining or choking the dog if necessary, but pulling the leash tightens it and prevents it from breaking loose and running away. She had to get used to it as it's looser than her previous collar, but after a few weeks it doesn't bother her anymore.
