UPDATE January 25, 2016: This brush has been incredibly shiny for the past few months! When I first received the product, I was a little afraid of it because it smelled like cheap glue. I have a variety of different brands of brushes, from cheap (EcoTools, Elf) to expensive (MAC, Christian Dior) and in between (Real Techniques), and I've never dropped a brush. Hair loss is most annoying when you're trying to apply foundation and have to take the time to remove individual bristles underneath my foundation. I will not buy this brand again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This review is for the Flat Top Kabuki Brush. I have used this brush several times to apply liquid foundation and am very impressed with how it applies foundation to my face. I used to use the Real Techniques hatch brush and was very happy with the results, but once I used the Beauty Junkees the difference became apparent. The base looked even more airbrushed, more even and more natural. The bristles are extremely soft, a pleasure to apply to the face. I've never used a brush this big to apply foundation before, so I'm still getting used to brushing it around my eyes and nose (I find it a bit awkward for hard-to-reach areas, but I can't lower my rating, of course due to my own make-up preferences). Brush shapes.) The only real downside I have with the brush is the horrible and extremely strong/toxic smell of glue that seeped into both the packaging and onto the brush itself when first opened. The odor was so strong that I worried the bristle glue hadn't set sufficiently. Luckily after washing the brush thoroughly with baby shampoo the smell went away, but now I'm a bit wary of the bristles falling out with repeated washing, especially after having to wash it so many times from being used with liquid foundations that need to be erased frequently . . I hope not but I'm deducting a star for that awful smell. But apart from the smell, I still really like it.
