A month after changing the oil and filter on my truck, oil started leaking through the filter housing. I checked the gasket, it was quite tight so I removed the filter and the oil filter gasket (O-ring) was in place, no damage was visible so I decided to compare the old gasket (saved from my FRAM filter). , and I could see the difference between two O-rings. My old o-ring from my FRAM filter was slightly larger and not stiff. The K&N O-ring is smaller and stiffer, which prevents expansion when the engine heats up. Please do not buy this K&N filter if you care about your vehicle. Stick to the products recommended by the manufacturer or go for a reputable brand like FRAM. I wish I hadn't given a star.
