Review on SRAM P Link Bicycle Chain 8 Speed by Keith Desjarlais

I needed to replace my old chain on my mountain bike but needed a slightly longer one because I installed a 7 speed cassette instead of the 6 speed cassette that was available. I also had some trouble skipping the old chain because it was worn out. This SRAM chain comes with clear installation instructions and the power link is the brilliant part. Installation went smoothly and after about 500km on the road and about 100km on the trainer, the chain was still running smoothly and quietly. He's seen dry summer days, wet and rainy fall days, and multiple rides through muddy winter roads. Minimal maintenance was required and all links are working properly. The Power Link really helped with fitting AND getting the right length for my gear. I will buy this style again for my daily commute/touring ride and rely on SRAM chains on every other bike I buy. Unfortunately, other than stock chains, I don't have a direct comparison to determine further thoughts.
