The color and feel of the material is perfect. Material - soft elastic material. I bought it for my son's reading room. I was planning to buy more of these for my daughters and niece. I figured my son would break the plastic hook attached to the canopy or rip it from the ceiling. I thought he was my product tester. I was shocked that it broke where the rope attaches to the top of the dome. I'm going to mend the seams and add some elastic at the top where the ties attach to the dome. He sat on the floor of the dome and leaned back, causing it to shatter. He was no rough hull in the canopy when he broke. I am extremely disappointed. I will fix this because the material is nice and he just loves it. We bought garland curtains to get into the canopy and a rug and pillows to get in. We've invested too much money in his reading room to turn back. If you purchase this canopy I will add extra stitching before you put it on.
