After installing this electric starter on my 2007 Ford Ranger (XLT) the starter has always had problems e.g. B. It didn't start the first time and made a strange noise. Consequently it cost me the battery as I had to replace the current one. Recently (03/12/2018) the starter kit just gave up and I had to buy another one. The new starter from my local auto parts store was just perfect with noise right from the start and the car started right away. This starter (DB Electrical SFD0038 New Starter) is said to last longer than a year and a few months. Therefore, I do not recommend this item.
