I have a lot of reusable straws at home after FT Lauderdale banned plastic straws. They are wider than others I've bought before and heavier than the 2, especially with the huge silicon tip coating. Nobody mentioned in other reviews that silicone caps come in 2 different sizes (inverted). They have a wider mouth and a smaller mouth. I prefer the smaller size. The larger side only felt an uncomfortable amount of liquid rise. The straws are heavy, and when I put them in my 16.9 ounce water bottle, they fell straight to the bottom of the bottle. When I went to get some water, I couldn't get anything because it formed a seal and prevented water from entering. I've never experienced that in 40 years drinking through a straw. it was weird! I had to reach for straws every time I wanted to drink something to down it. They are dishwasher safe so I will NEVER use the brushes provided to clean them. I glued all 4 directly onto the spokes of the dishwasher. I love using these straws but it definitely requires some retraining to use them. I hope that was helpful.
