I bought this hoping it would also work as a general bluetooth receiver and transmitter for things like wireless headphones. Turns out it only works with controllers, hence the 4 stars. It was unexpectedly cool though, which is why I am still giving it 4 stars. If you, unlike me, know what you're buying, it's probably a 5 star product. While this device is likely a better fit for console users who have a game controller preference, I only tested it with a Linux PC, and it does work very well. It allows a PS5 controller to be seen as an XBox or Switch controller (among others). Since most console controllers are extremely well supported on Linux, it likely limits the use to a few games that only will play nice with XBox controllers, or similar edge cases.Controllers pair just like you would with a console, plug it into the dongle with a USB cable, and it just pairs and you can then use it wirelessly. So if you have an issue using other bluetooth adapters with your system, this will definitely alleviate your issues and present the controller as a wired controller of your choice. It also seems to work with Android if that is your use case. For the fun of it I tried plugging a Steam Controller into it, via the dongle and also a cable, but the device did not pass through controls. So for those of you looking to use the now defunct Steam Controller with your Console, this unfortunately will not work for you.Overall an unexpectedly cool little thing, despite not working for all the use cases I was hoping for.
