***5 year use update at bottom. 1-23-22***I usually don't give 5 stars for anything unless it's out of the ordinary and these batteries definitely are! They have been a game changer for me and my overnight astronomy sessions out in the middle of nowhere. They seem to discharge at the same rate, no matter the temperature, and have yet to have a shorter life after two years of occasional use. I'm told they are based on the same design/ technology that laptop batteries are and, if so, I would expect a 5-7 year life out of them (but dreaming for higher of course). They don't seem to have battery "memory" issues (google that) which essentially means no matter the state of discharge, they can still be recharged immediately without special treatment (like a good laptop battery behaves). If I had the extra cash, I would probably obtain another but the two I use have been enough for now and real workhorses.**EDIT 1-23-22: Well, I have owned two of these batteries for the last five years. Both are still going strong. I have used them in all sorts of weather conditions. My latest project has me using one nightly where temps are usually in the low 20's F, but may dip into the teens at times. Still does the job, often being used for 12-14 hours at a time in the low temp conditions. The project has been for powering a remote set up wildlife audio recorder. One thing that increased versatility for me was adding a buck converter. I use one capable of up to 4 amps output. I can adjust current and voltage from about 2 up to 12V. My project needed it because the recorder only uses 9V. Very handy to have in addition to the battery. So, the battery has been feeding the converter which in turn feeds both the recorder and a small nichrome heater wrapped around the recorder, otherwise it shuts down during cold temps. Battery does a fine job for the complete setup. Highly recommended, one of the absolute best purchases I've made****
