Before using, I soaked my feet in hot water with bath salts. I know some other brands require this step to work, but I don't think the instructions call for this step. I pulled the bags over my feet, slipped on comfy socks, and then sat down to watch TV while my feet got wet. I ended up dozing off and leaving it on for about an hour and a half. I washed my feet and they immediately felt softer and smoother than before. It only took about 2 days for the exfoliation to start and I wet my feet every night and/or plug the shower drain so my feet can soak every morning. By the end of the week my feet were soft, smooth, no cracked heels and looked great! A tip: use it before your pedicure as it will strip the nail polish.
