This is definitely a nice french press. I bought rose gold which is more like rose silver and a very very light color (which is fine if you don't want it to be too feminine). It is very heavy, almost to the point of failure, as its weight makes it difficult for me to dump the used coffee grounds in the bin. I don't have a drain in my sink so I have to throw it in the bin. I think the weight will be an issue for people with arthritis or grip strength issues. It makes two 16-ounce cups of coffee per maximum refill. And beautiful in 4 minutes. I use 3 scoops of coffee grounds for 16 ounces of coffee. It also stays hot for over an hour, but I'm not sure if it's two hours yet, haven't tried it yet. There are no coffee grounds in my cup, but you can see that it is richer and has some sediment (which is good) compared to the coffee maker cup. The lid has a hole for pouring coffee. It's overflowing from every part of the lid, but there's a part that looks more like a gap to allow the coffee to flow faster when pouring. However, it is not marked so it is not easy to see.
