The shoulder pads seem to need more cushioning

Not sure what I think of this bag yet. I packed it with clothes and boots and threw up a 35-pound kettlebell to add weight (about 62 pounds total). Because there is no real frame, the top has buckled and slipped out of the top cap, but has regained shape. Water resistance not tested yet. Honestly. I have a usmc ILBW that I loaded with 75 pounds and it broke on the shoulder clip that allows you to adjust the pack when I lift it with one hand. This one didn't tear and was only 10 pounds lighter. The shoulder straps felt cheap with the padding and could have used more padding, but I had a baby carrier underneath and that helped. The waist belt is a bit flimsy because you have to feed it to tighten it, but I think it's kind of a set-and-forget thing. The chest strap serves its purpose. Miles driven on the road, never relaxed. The needs will be updated after a while. If you plan to add a lot of weight, keep in mind that the backpack will deform. It's great for probably 50 pounds and lighter, and it stretches to a huge size.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Weight
