I was under the impression that wood burning tools were basically used for drawing/burning in wood. Unfortunately not with this article. Even at the highest temperature, you can't drive it like a pencil on wood at any speed. The only way to burn a design into wood with this tool is to create a bitmap. That's because you have to hold it in one spot for at least ten seconds before anything burns into the wood at all, and if you drag the tool afterwards, it's impossible to drag it to the exact next spot. If I could draw with it like a pencil it would work great but when I do that nothing happens even if I do it very slowly.
