Real thick steel, easy to weld Fit if necessary, probably twice the thickness of the stock muffler. It's about 10-14 inches shorter than stock, comes patched with an exhaust pipe extender from Oreilly's Autozone etc for about $10. The stem on the 2004 F-150 is welded on, so if you pinch you will also need 2 2 1/2" exhaust pipe adapters. This will allow you to slide in the muffler and outside of the exhaust pipe and clamp all the connections with the muffler clamps. I would add some hanger bars weld on, cut off the old muffler and weld them to this muffler to go back to the stock rubber straps, it's pretty heavy for its size and your clamps will slip off and you'll have to put your battered muffler back on.
