I used to have a basic version of this device with no amplifier. It got jerky at high speed on my 31ft trailer. I still don't understand that since radio waves travel at the speed of light, 65mph vs 0mph is still nothing by comparison. Anyway the monitor was stolen so I bought this kit as a replacement. The same monitor as in the old set. The camera has been updated and now has a booster. I have to use a Haloview GM PWM adapter to power them as I have a newer Chevy and their 12v signal is not constant. I had to connect the output, but its current is enough to run both. I still connected the old camera as a reversing camera and aimed it at the rear of the bumper at a high angle. I installed this new camera next to it and use it as a permanent rearview mirror camera. I routed the cables up the rear of the RV and under my RV, and finally installed the antenna module on the trailer tongue. The signal is perfect. The picture is perfect at any speed with minimal lag. Now the unpowered camera is used only for low-speed maneuvering, that is, driving on the highway. An excellent setting that greatly simplifies safety when towing.
