I think this just saved me at least $3,000.

A few months ago I moved into a new apartment and set up my bedroom in the back room of the house, which is an annex to the main building. The room always seemed MUCH colder than anywhere else in the house, although everything in the apartment is fine and I hate the cold! I used a heater which always makes me nervous and I was considering getting a ductless mini split system for the area which would cost me at least $3000. I noticed that a draft was coming. through the wall of the air conditioner in the room, wondering (DUH!) if that might be contributing to the cold. So I looked for ways to protect it for the winter and found out that they actually make shelters for things! So after reading various reviews I bought this one. I applied it about an hour ago. It fits perfectly and I added some tape around the edges to secure it. I can already feel a big difference. I turned off the heater, which ran most of the day and night, just to make myself comfortable (and to make sure my little diamond dove didn't get too cold). I'm sitting here now, perfectly warm. And it even looks chic! Thank you!

Pros
  • Easy to install - no tools required. Just put a cover on the air conditioner. The lid itself has an elastic band that fits around the front of the air conditioner, and a drawcord on each side ensures a snug fit to keep cold drafts out.
Cons
  • Renovation
