I'm a teacher and I sharpen EVERY pencil. DAY. This pencil sharpener is really fun because it automatically stops after sharpening and pushes the pencil back out of the sharpener! Yes, things that amuse us teachers! My first years love watching me sharpen pencils because they think it's magic! I wanted something small and pretty for my desk at work and it just so happens that works well! I love mine and have already sharpened 2 boxes of brand new pencils with no problems! Great pencil sharpener for teachers! Note: The pencil shavings box looks larger than it actually is. It holds a lot, but if you leave until the clear chamber is full then the pencil shavings will go everywhere when you empty it. I learned this the hard way! So either empty it more often or empty it directly over the bin! As I teach toddlers we use big pencils called Laddy, apparently there are 2 different sizes of Laddy and the biggest one doesn't fit this pencil sharpener and the pencil hole isn't adjustable so keep that in mind. I can still sharpen The Boys in mine but they are a bit smaller! :)
