I was looking for a non-digital min/max thermometer that doesn't suit the style of most (mercury bars in a U shape that reset by pressing a Button). A common problem with U-shaped thermometers is that the mercury often doesn't support a solid stick, but instead breaks up into many small pieces that are no longer shed. This bimetal thermometer from HB Durac is completely different, but I have found that it sometimes does not show the low and high readings correctly. I've also found that the knob that rotates the blue and red needles sometimes loses connection with the arrows and doesn't actually move them. I would not buy this model again.
