Theft Deal Don't get me wrong they would be perfect if they didn't rip out of nowhere also they repel water well (tested with a hose) even with a hole in it but I suspect the waterproof lining is still fine, so there shouldn't be any leaks. The "vents" work a little, ie no air flows through them. unless you're in your 70's or so, so if you live in a hot place like I would expect, you'll still arrive at your destination drenched in sweat. In terms of protection, the armor on the knees seems adequate for some minor incidents, the armor on the thighs is just foam padding, that speaks to the CE spirit, and the cordura, as you can see in the picture, will most likely evaporate in one Crash. I've worn these pants 4 times, FOUR and they are already coming loose and it's not a ripped seam or anything, the material itself is coming loose at the knee as you can see in the photos. my 2 stars because even if all the functions are in order and the pants work well, it means nothing if they just tear in vain.
