I have a terrible heater. It didn't work properly. It didn't heat my tank. It started whistling and hissing so I turned it off. Thanks to many others who have asked what it could mean differently in the fish farming community, I have learned that the heater can fail and burn out. kill your fish and possibly set your place on fire. I returned it, got a refund and got a Tetra HT30 from Petsmart that works great! It maintains a consistent water temperature suitable for my fish. FYI, a petsmart employee told me that Chewy heaters are cheaper and Petsmart's prices are the same! So I only paid $12 for a $27 heater :)
